Kalium is a Greek family house of collectible glass, bringing together a family enterprise established in 1999 and the living tradition of Ukrainian glassmaking.
The story began when Nina and Nikolaos Kolpidi founded Ergopan S.A. in Greece in 1999. Today, their grandson Michail Kolpidis continues the family enterprise through Kalium P.C. and leads its evolution into a contemporary house of artistic and collectible glass. Greek Government Gazette, 1999
Kalium objects are created in Ukraine by Ukrainian master glassblowers, preserving the traditions of hand-blown glass while developing them through contemporary forms, colour and the distinctive optical qualities of potassium crystal.
The first signature collection Ova ex Kalium expresses this identity through sculptural eggs — individually made objects of glass, colour and light, conceived to be collected, documented and passed from one generation to another.
